Terms of Service

Last updated 19 August 2026

Astro is free. These are the rules for using it, what you are responsible for as a server owner, and what we promise.

What Astro is

Astro is a free moderation bot for Discord: bans, warnings, automod, event logging, tickets and member reports, configurable from Discord or from the dashboard at astro.pcdev.info. There is no premium tier and no paywalled logging.

Using it

By adding Astro to a server, or by using it in one, you agree to what is on this page.

  • Do not use Astro to harass people or to break Discord's Terms of Service or the law in your country.
  • Do not try to overload, scrape or reverse the bot or the dashboard.
  • Do not use the moderation tools to collect information about people for a purpose unrelated to moderating your server.

Your responsibility as a server owner

Astro is a tool. The moderation decisions are yours. You decide the rules, who can use the commands, what gets logged and where the logs go, and you are responsible for those choices and for telling your members what you log.

If you enable AI-assisted moderation, you are choosing to have borderline message text sent to a third-party provider for a rating. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is sent. Tell your members if that matters to them.

Availability

We keep Astro up because we want it up, not because we have promised you a percentage. There is no uptime guarantee, no service level agreement and no compensation for downtime. It is a free bot.

We may restart, change, limit or remove features, including at short notice.

Removing it, and us removing it

You can remove Astro from your server at any time. Ask us and we will delete your server's data.

We may remove Astro from a server, or block a user or a server from using it, if it is being used for anything on the list above. We do not have to warn you first, though usually we will.

Liability

Astro is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Automated moderation makes mistakes, and you should not rely on it as your only safeguard. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage or disruption arising from using it, from a moderation action it took, or from not being able to use it. Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be removed by an agreement.

Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. Carrying on using Astro after a change means the new version applies.

Contact

The quickest way to reach us is our Discord server. Anything legal or privacy related can go there, and we will answer it.
